QiGong Instructor

The Mind-Body Practice of Qigong will be offered at AdvancedMMC with the purpose of introducing the basic concepts, principles, and practice of a gentle, slow, and powerful form of exercise that brings multiple benefits at physical and emotional levels. Qigong, which means work with energy, is an ancient Chinese practice that is increasing in popularity in the US as a form of self-care to enhance health, well-being, and calm. It is also being added to the treatment of different medical and psychological conditions. Qigong relies on the coordination of breath and simple movements to promote easy access of internal energy to facilitate health and vitality. It requires no special equipment, clothing, can be practiced standing or sitting, and lends itself nicely to people of all ages and physical conditions.

At Advanced MMC, Inc., classes will focus on easy to learn gentle exercises to improve balance, manage stress, aid with pain management, and gain a sense of well-being. Classes will emphasize breath, warm up exercises, flow movements, self-massage, and meditation.
